Two figures in their heavenly reward. Below them, and around the lower figure, flows a stole signifying the meek and humble of Christ who assumed the burden of omission. Christ bore our sins, a supreme example of meekness.

The hand of blessing descends upon a mourner. Arms outstretched, she gradually emerges from despair and fear to seek solace in God.

Poor in Spirit | 4.14.24

Christ extends the hand of invitation to the poor who are rising and reaching to meet him. At the bottom of the window, amid briars and thistles, the symbol of sin and worldly interests, stands the rich man in costly clothes that reflect his vanity.

Jesus' entry into Jerusalem is the first scene of the final act. We must remember that in this opening scene of the last week of Jesus' life, he came in peace. As disciples of Jesus, we are sent not to conquer with force, but to bring peace through love.
